Definition
- Benign epidermal naevus/hair follicle tumour
- it consists of overgrown epidermis, sebaceous glands, hair follicles, apocrine glands, and connective tissue.
- Clinical
- Usually on scalp or face
- May have yellow or orange hue
- Slightly palpable at birth
- Remain hairless
- Thicken during childhood particularly in adolescence
- Progression
- May show verrucous change
- 10% develop BCC over 15-20 years

- Excise
