Cirrhotic cardiomyopathy – Cirrhotic cardiomyopathy is defined by chronic cardiac dysfunction in the setting of cirrhosis. It is characterized by decreased contractile responsiveness to stress or altered diastolic relaxation with electrophysiologic abnormalities. It is thought to be related to both portal hypertension and cirrhosis.
