Mesenchymal hamartoma is an uncommon benign liver lesion that mainly occurs in young children (< 2 years of age), although cases in adults have been reported. These lesions consist of a mixture of epithelial and mesenchymal structures. If the lesions enlarge, surgical resection is recommended. Transformation to undifferentiated (embryological) sarcoma has rarely been described.
