Define
- Benign neoplasms with cuboid cells lining the cyst that originate from the pancreatic acinar cells
Risk
- Variable, usually 5th to 7th decade
- Females >males
Presentation
- Asymptomatic
- Grow slowly
- Von-Hippel-Lindau disease
Typical imaging
- Typically demonstrates a multicystic, lobulated mass in the pancreatic head sometimes described as a bunch of grapes
- Microcystic/honeycomb appearance
- Oligocystic appearance less common
- May have central scar or calcification
- Startburst
CEA
- <5 to 20 ng/mL in majority of lesion
- Periodic
Malignant potential
- Negligible
Treatment
- Resect if symptomatic
