  • Incise over the site of the deep cuff
  • Dissect around it freeing it from the rectus
  • Gently mobilise the catheter out of the peritoneal cavity
  • Close the fascia
  • Dissect back toward the superficial cuff until it can be freed
  • Divide past the point of the superficial cuff
  • Then the rest of the catheter can be removed
