• The arteria radicularis magna (Artery of Adamkiewicz)
    • If this is block you may get a spinal infarct
      • Depending on dominance and collaterals
    • More prevalent on the left at T10 or T11 (highly variable anywhere from T7-T12, either side)
  • Vertebral artery gives off anterior (single) and posterior (bilateral) spinal arteries at foramen magnum which run down the spinal cord
  • These three longitudinal arteries are supplemented all the way down the cord all the way down to the end at L1 (cona medularis) - corda equina below this
