- Arises just above the commencement of the External Carotid Artery
- Runs along side wall of Pharynx in front of Prevertebral Fascia
- Deep to Internal Carotid Artery
- Supplies pharyngeal wall, Soft Palate, sends meningeal branches through nearby foramina in the base of skull (Foramen Lacerum, Jugular Foramen, Hypoglossal Canal)
