- Travels between the biceps brachii and brachialis in the anterior compartment of the arm
- Emerges at the lateral border of the biceps tendon as the lateral cutaneous nerve of the forearm
- Continues superficially down the lateral forearm

- Gives off the lateral cutaneous branch of the forearm, which innervates the lateral half of the anterior forearm, and a small lateral portion of the posterior forearm.
