- Related to Mongolian spot
- Clinical
- Small, sharply defined round, dark blue or greyish-blue lesions
- May occur anywhere on the body
- Usually face, neck, hands, arms
- Appear in childhood as slow growing, well defined nodules covered by a smooth intact epidermis
- Histology
- Dermal melanocytes
- Intimate association with fibroblasts of the dermis
- Management
- Malignant change very rare
- Usually no treatment
- Id >1cm consider excision for histology to exclude melanoma
