Definition

• Neoplastic alteration of the terminal duct lobular units (TDLUs) characterized by replacement of the native epithelial cells by one to several layers of a single epithelial cell type showing low-grade (monomorphic) cytologic atypia

Management

• Unclear
  • Excision or observation
    • Upgrade to cancer rate of 0-5% therefore many advocate radiological surveillance
  • Margin positive
    • Unclear, likely no further management
• RR 1.5x
