- Midline incision
- Biopsy ulcer
- Lay in 3 transverse sutures (VICRYL OR PDS) into healthy tissue
- Dont tie → put on haemostats
- Mobilise patch
- Free of tension
- Place over defect (either closed or unclosed)
- Tied sutures down
- Can place further sutures to secure
- Wash
- Widely drain
