- Superior Pubic Ramus
- Inferior Pubic Ramus
- Ischium
- Mostly filled by Obturator Membrane
- Obturator Internis originates from this membrane
- Obturator Fascia covers the inner side of the muscle
Obturator Canal
- Small opening in the superior aspect of the obturator foramen, connecting the pelvis and the medial compartment of the thigh
- A gap in the obturator membrane that transmits
- Obturator Artery
- Obturator Vein
- Obturator Nerve
- Over Obturator externis
Obturator Artery
- Originates from Internal Iliac Artery
- Branch of the Anterior Division
- Passes through the obturator canal to the medial compartment of the thigh
- NB: In 20%, can be off external iliac supply
- Either directly (A), or off inferior epigastric (B)
- Aberrant Obturator Artery
- Clinical relevance is runs with lacunar ligament, at risk if divided in femoral hernia repair
