- (SMAS) overlies the Parotid Gland
- Continuous above with the Temporoparietal Fascia and Frontalis
- Continuous below with Platysma
- Continuous over the gland with Risorius
- Adherent to the Parotidomasseteric Fascia in the Pretragal area
- Becomes separate from the Parotidomasseteric Fascia as the fascia enters the cheek
- Overlies the Parotid Duct, Facial Nerve branches and Buccal Fat Pad
- Nerve branches penetrate the Parotidomasseteric Fascia as they proceed peripherally to innervate the overlying facial muscles
- Greater Auricular Nerve supplies the fascia superficial and deep to Parotid Gland
- Transmits pain caused by stretching of the fascial envelope when acute enlargement of gland occurs, e.g. in mumps
