- Retraction
- Left Liver lobe → Right shoulder
- Body of Stomach → Left hip
- Dissection
- Lesser omental window (Pars flaccida)
- Crus peritoneum incised to expose muscle fibres which are split
- Use a right angle and divide it between diathermy
- Retract oesophagus to patients left
- Blunt dissect either side
- Adventitia of Aorta exposed - this needs to be divided
- Develop bilateral planes and clamp
- Satinsky clamp placed supracoeliac
