Fibrocystic Change – Epithelial Hyperplasia
- Usually incidental finding
- Proliferation of epithelial cells in ducts or lobules with ≥ 3 layers of cells
- Normal = 2 cell layers (epithelial & myoepithelial)
- Hyperplasia: ↑ed no. of layers ± ‘fenestrations’ within layers
- Classification: Ductal vs. Lobular ± Atypia
